Rule 8.013 - ALTERNATIVE PARENT EDUCATION PROGRAMS(1) For purposes of this rule, "alternative parent education program means a parent education program available in the community where a party resides and with curriculum substantially similar to the curriculum of the Parent Education Program established in SLR 8.011(1).(2) If the court orders a party to complete a parent education program under SLR 8.011, the court may, in its discretion, allow a party to complete an alternative parent education program established in SLR 8.011(1) upon application of a party and for good cause.(3) If the court orders a party to complete a parent education program under SLR 8.011, the requirement to participate in the program pursuant to SLR 8.011(1) shall be deemed satisfied if the Court orders participation in an alternative program under subsection (2) and the party completing the alternative parent education programs complies with 8.011(4).Amended effective 2/1/2024.
