All individuals who are parties to a case involving child custody or parenting time, whether or not contested, must attend a court-approved parent education class, which includes a mediation orientation session, unless otherwise ordered by the court. Requests to waive this requirement must be submitted as a separate document and not as a part of any other pleading. This rule does not apply to juvenile dependency
