Rule 36 - Actions upon Filing of PetitionUpon the filing of an adoption petition, the court administrator shall immediately provide a copy of the petition to:
(a) the Commissioner of Human Services; and(b) if the petition relates to a child, the agency identified below: (1) in an agency or a direct placement adoption, the court shall provide the petition to the agency supervising the placement; and(2) in all other instances not described in clause (1), the court shall provide the petition to the local social services agency of the county in which the prospective adoptive parent lives if the child is to be adopted by an individual who is related to the child as defined in Rule 2.01(19).
