Rule 20-108 - Delegation of Authority to File(a)Attorneys. After a submission has been signed in accordance with Rule 20-107, an attorney may authorize a paralegal, assistant, or other staff member in the attorney's office to file the signed submission electronically on behalf of the attorney. A submission filed pursuant to this delegation constitutes a filing by the attorney and the attorney's assurance that the attorney has complied with the requirements of Rule 1-311(b) and has authorized the paralegal, assistant, or staff member to file the submission. The attorney is responsible for assuring that there is no unauthorized use of the attorney's username or password. (b) Judges and Judicial Appointees. After a submission has been signed in accordance with Rule 20-107, a judge or judicial appointee may authorize a secretary, administrative assistant, or law clerk to file the signed submission electronically on behalf of the judge or judicial appointee.
