Rule OP 4 - Distribution of Annual Submissions and Invitation for Comment(a) Upon receipt of the annual submissions and reports, the Executive Clerk of the Supreme Judicial Court shall cause copies of proposed rules and amendments or a Committee's summary thereof, together with an invitation for comments to be distributed as follows: (1) One copy to be distributed to each justice or judge or clerk in the same manner as slip opinions of the Law Court. (2) One copy to be conspicuously posted in the office of each clerk of the Superior, District, and Administrative Courts. (3) Copies to such other persons and places as the Chief Justice may direct. (b) The invitation for comments distributed with the annual submissions and reports shall solicit written comment on the proposed rules or amendments from members of the bench, bar, and public to be filed with the Executive Clerk of the Supreme Judicial Court within a period of not less than 30 days from the distribution of the proposals. (c) Whenever a summary of a submission, rather than the full submission, is distributed, the Executive Clerk shall make provision for supplying the full text of the submission to any interested person upon reasonable request.
