Section 260-24-560 - Horse identifierThe horse identifier is responsible for performing the following duties:
(1) Inspect the certificate of registration or each horse scheduled to compete at the race meet to ensure the proper identification;(2) Examine every starter in the receiving barn or paddock for lip tattoo, sex, color, and markings or other identification method approved by the appropriate breed registry and the commission for comparison with its registration certificate to verify the horse's identity;(3) Approve each horse to enter and race by determining that they are properly tattooed and match their breed specific foal certificate; and(4) Report to the board of stewards any horse not properly identified or whose registration certificate is not in compliance with these rules.Wash.
