Section 194-50-010 - ASHRAE Standard 100, 2018-Section 1-Purpose1.1 This standard provides criteria that will result in reduced energy consumption through improved energy efficiency and performance in existing buildings. In adopting this standard by rule, Washington state department of commerce shall seek to maximize reductions of greenhouse gas emissions from the building sector.1.2 This standard is directed toward providing procedures and programs essential to energy efficient operation, maintenance, management, and monitoring; increasing the energy efficiency of the energy-using systems and components; upgrading the thermal performance of the building envelope; and promoting the use of district energy system decarbonization plans aligning with district energy policy in coordination with statewide building performance standards policies to reduce commercial and large state-owned building emissions.Wash.
