Section 9VAC20-81-20 - Policy

It is the policy of the Virginia Waste Management Board to promote the development of comprehensive waste management programs that include the following components of a waste management hierarchy:

1. Source reduction.

2. Reuse.

3. Recycling.

4. Resource recovery (waste to energy).

5. Incineration.

6. Landfilling.
