Section 730.2201 - Responsibilities of the Department in Relation to Provider FraudThe Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services' responsibilities in relation to provider fraud include:
(1) setting criteria for identifying cases of possible fraud or abuse;(2) establishing the methods of referral for investigating those case in which fraud is suspected;(3) keeping appropriate records and making periodic reports of suspected fraudulent cases;(4) collecting all overpayments.40 Tex.
