Section 6.7 - Destruction of State Records(a) Without a certified records retention schedule, a state agency must request authorization from the director and librarian for the destruction of any state record.(b) A state agency with a certified records retention schedule must request authorization from the director and librarian for the destruction of any state record that does not appear on the certified schedule or a certified amendment to the schedule.(c) Requests for authorization for the destruction of state records shall be in a form and manner prescribed by the state records administrator.13 Tex.
