I, J. Kevin Stitt, Governor of the State of Oklahoma, hereby direct the appropriate steps be taken to fly all American and Oklahoma flags on State property at half-staff from 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 29, 2022, through 8:00 a.m. on Monday, May 2, 2022, to honor the life and legacy of former state lawmaker, former Seminole Nation Chief, and renowned painter and sculptor Enoch Kelly Haney.

Senator Haney was an honorable and devoted state lawmaker for twenty-four years. His legacy of public service is both significant and enduring. He was a successful and well-known artist, awarded the distinction of "Master Artist of the Five Civilized Tribes" in 1975. He created the 17-foot sculpture "The Guardian" which was placed atop the Oklahoma State Capitol dome in 2002. A skillful American Indian painter and sculptor, his art has been showcased throughout the world.

This executive order shall be forwarded to the Division of Capital Assets Management, who shall cause the provisions of this order to be implemented by all appropriate agencies of state government.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of Oklahoma to be affixed at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on this 29th day of April, 2022.
