I, Mary Fallin, Governor of the State of Oklahoma, hereby direct the appropriate steps be taken to fly all American and Oklahoma flags on State property at half-staff from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 24, 2017, to honor Deputy David Wade, who was killed April 18, 2017, while working in the line of duty for the Logan County sheriff's office.

David Wade, a native of Guthrie, graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with degrees in criminal justice and forensic science. He served in the Oklahoma National Guard and was deployed on a peacekeeping mission in Bosnia. His favorite pastime was spending time with his three remaining sons: Tristan, Jerry, and Solomon. His service to our state, this nation, and his faith in God and family will never be forgotten.

This executive order shall be forwarded to the Division of Capital Assets Management, who shall cause the provisions of this order to be implemented by all appropriate agencies of state government.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of Oklahoma to be affixed at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, this 20th day of April, 2017.
