Okla. Admin. Code § 1:2015-19

Current through Vol. 41, No. 20, July 1, 2024
Section 1:2015-19

I, Mary Fallin, Governor of the State of Oklahoma, hereby direct the appropriate steps be taken to fly all American and Oklahoma flags on State property at half-staff from 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015, to 8:00 a.m. Monday, April 20, 2015, in memory of those killed and injured in the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building on April 19, 1995.

Twenty years after the Murrah Bombing, we remember the 168 lives lost and the hundreds injured on that terrible day. We offer our prayers and condolences to the families they left behind.

We also pledge our commitment to honoring and reviving the sense of community spirit that became known as the "Oklahoma Standard" in the days and weeks after April 19, 1995. The attack that was meant to weaken our community instead brought Oklahomans of all races, religions and walks of life together. The community bonds, selflessness and generosity shown during those days helped us to heal and left an indelible imprint on our state and its people. We choose to remember that spirit and commit ourselves to maintaining the Oklahoma Standard on this anniversary.

This executive order shall be forwarded to the Division of Capital Assets Management, which shall cause the provisions of this order to be implemented by all appropriate agencies of State government.

IN WITNESS WHERE OF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of Oklahoma to be affixed at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, this 13th day of April, 2015.

BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE

STATE OF OKLAHOMA

MARY FALLIN
