Section 3745-52-18 - U.S. EPA identification numbers and re-notification for small quantity generators and large quantity generators(A) A generator shall not treat, store, dispose of, transport, or offer for transportation hazardous waste without having received a U.S. EPA identification number from U.S. EPA or Ohio EPA.(B) A generator who has not received a U.S. EPA identification number shall obtain one by applying to Ohio EPA using Ohio EPA form EPA 9029. Upon receiving the request, Ohio EPA shall assign a U.S. EPA identification number to the generator.(C) A generator shall not offer the generator's hazardous waste to transporters or to treatment, storage, or disposal facilities that have not received a U.S. EPA identification number.(D) Re-notification. (1) A small quantity generator shall re-notify Ohio EPA starting in 2021 and every four years thereafter using Ohio EPA form EPA 9029. This re-notification shall be submitted by September first of each year in which re-notifications are required.(2) A large quantity generator shall re-notify Ohio EPA by March first of each even-numbered year thereafter using Ohio EPA form EPA 9029. A large quantity generator may submit this re-notification as part of the biennial report required under rule 3745-52-41 of the Administrative Code. (E) A recognized trader shall not arrange for import or export of hazardous waste without having received a U.S. EPA identification number.
