Section 33.1-10-23-05 - Standards for radiation protection for members of the public1. All licensees shall conduct operations with TENORM so that individual members of the public will not exceed one millisievert [one hundred millirem] TEDE in a year, exclusive of the dose contributions from background radiation, from all licensed or registered sources of radiation, including TENORM. Doses from inhalation of indoor radon and its short half-life (less than one hour) progeny shall not be included in calculations of the TEDE, except when the dose is due to releases from licensed operations involving the handling or processing of TENORM.2. Persons subject to a specific or general license under this chapter shall comply with the radiation protection standards in chapter 33.1-10-04.2.N.D. Admin Code 33.1-10-23-05
