Section 02H .0117 - INVESTIGATIONS: MONITORING: AND REPORTING(a) Staff of the Department of Environmental Quality may conduct any investigations as provided in G.S. 143-215.3(a)(2), (7), and (9) for the purpose of determining compliance with water quality standards, effluent limitations, permit conditions and these Rules.(b) Any person subject to the provisions of G.S. 143-215.1 shall comply with the monitoring and reporting requirements of Rules in Section 15A NCAC 02B .0500.(c) Any person subject to the provisions of G.S. 143-215.1 shall allow the Director or his or her authorized representative:(1) to enter upon permittee's premises in which an effluent source is located or in which any records are required to be kept under terms and conditions of the permit;(2) to have access to any copy and records required to be kept under terms and conditions of the permit;(3) to inspect any monitoring equipment or method required in the permit; or(4) to sample any discharge of pollutants.15A N.C.
