Section 1204.8 - Inspections during construction(a) Each construction-permitting agency shall provide for construction inspections of all work for which the agency has issued a construction permit under this Part. Work shall be inspected during the course of construction so as to observe the foundation, framing, superstructure, electrical system, plumbing system, heating/ventilating/air conditioning system, fire protection and detection system, and exit features.(b) A construction-permitting agency may arrange for the inspections described in subdivision (a) of this section to be performed by a State agency managing construction of a project, by a design consultant, or by another party. Where the building, structure, or portion thereof which is the subject of a construction permit exceeds 20,000 cubic feet, a final inspection must be performed by the construction-permitting agency which issued the construction permit before a code compliance certificate may be issued.N.Y.
