The U.S. department of justice, bureau of justice assistance (BJA), under the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2005, Public Law 108-447 provides states and units of local government with funds to provide additional personnel, equipment, supplies, contractual support, training, technical assistance, and information systems for criminal justice.B.
