Section 656A.Sec. 6 - NEW1. A professional mentor must be a person who is:(a) Registered to engage in the practice of sign language interpreting in this State or meets the requirements prescribed by NRS 656A.100 to obtain such registration; or(b) Approved by the Division to serve as a professional mentor.2. The Division may approve a person to serve as a professional mentor pursuant to paragraph (b) of subsection 1 if the Division determines that the person: (a) Will provide individualized professional mentoring in the field of sign language interpreting;(b) Has identified specific goals and outcomes of the mentoring relationship; and(c) Will use instructional materials and other resources when necessary to further the goals and outcomes identified in paragraph (b) of this subsection.Nev.
