Section 641B.057 - "Psychotherapeutic methods and techniques" defined

"Psychotherapeutic methods and techniques" means the methods of treatment, including, without limitation, the use of individual, couples, family and group therapy, that use a specialized, formal interaction between a licensed clinical social worker and a client in which a therapeutic relationship is established and maintained to:

1. Understand unconscious processes and intrapersonal, interpersonal and psychosocial dynamics; and
2. Diagnose and treat mental, emotional and behavioral disorders, conditions and addictions.
