Section 583.201 - Official samples1. As used in this section, "official sample" means a sample drawn by an authorized person to determine the official grade of a lot for size and quality.2. A sample of equal portions must be taken from evenly distributed parts of a lot to be inspected in accordance with the following procedures:(a) For lots of less than 50 eggs the official sample must consist of all the eggs in the lot.(b) For lots of 50 eggs or more but less than one case, the official sample must consist of at least 50 eggs.(c) For lots of one case or more, the official sample must consist of at least 100 eggs which are taken from a representative number of cases as follows: | Number of Cases in Lot | Number of Cases Represented in Sample |
