Section 24-6-7-3 - Professional IdentificationA. A person issued a certificate by the Department of Mental Health may use the title appropriate to his/her category of professional certification/licensure while in the employ of a program as described in Chapter 3, Section 1, C., p. 7.B. Professional identification is directly affected by employment. Provisional Certificants/ Certificants/Licensees who experience a change in or separation from applicable employment are expected to follow Chapter 7, Section 4 and Section 5 on pp. 42-43.C. Recognized professional titles are: (1) "Provisionally Certified Mental Health Therapist" or the abbreviation "PCMHT";(2) "Certified Mental Health Therapist" or the abbreviation "CMHT"; and,(3) "Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist" or the abbreviation "LCMHT."24 Miss.
