A. Except as specifically provided in other chapters of these regulations, this Chapter applies to persons licensed or registered by the department to receive, possess, use, transfer, or dispose of sources of radiation or to operate a production or utilization facility under these regulations. The limits in this Chapter do not apply to doses due to background radiation, to exposure from any medical administration the individual has received, to exposure from individuals administered radioactive material and released in accordance with LAC 33:XV.725, or to exposure from voluntary participation in medical research programs.La.
