Section 60-5-102 - Approval procedureA. An institution contemplating the establishment of a program for mental health technicians: 1. Shall write a letter of intent to the Kansas state board of nursing. 2. Shall submit the name and qualifications of the nurse administrator to the board of nursing for approval. 3. Shall employ a qualified nurse administrator. 4. Shall employ a second faculty member. 5. Shall file with the board an application for an approved program two months prior to the anticipated opening date with the payment of any required fees. 6. Shall receive in writing the decision of the board. 7. Shall be approved prior to the admission of students. Kan. Admin. Regs. § 60-5-102
