A holder may contract with a third party to hold property, provide payment services and report unclaimed property; however, such arrangements shall not relieve the holder from complying with all requirements of this chapter and Iowa Code chapter 556. The holder remains at all times responsible for the complete, accurate and timely reporting and delivery of property presumed abandoned and other duties as provided for under this chapter and Iowa Code chapter 556.
This rule is intended to implement Iowa Code chapter 556.
