To obtain without cost the reissuance of registration documents that were sent by the county treasurer to the owner through the United States postal service and which were lost or damaged in transit, the owner of the vehicle shall file application for reissuance within 60 days of the date the documents were issued by the county treasurer.
This rule is intended to implement Iowa Code section 321.42.
