Over each five-year period of time beginning July 1,2012, the board shall conduct an ongoing and comprehensive review of all the board's rules pursuant to Iowa Code section 17A.7(2). The purpose of the review is to identify and eliminate all rules that are outdated, redundant, or inconsistent or incompatible with statute, other board rules, or rules of other agencies. When the board's five-year review of its rules is completed, the board shall summarize the results and provide the summary to the ARC and the ARRC.
