On a case-by-case basis, the board may issue a registration to a business location not listed in rule 657-10.3 (124) if it would be impractical to require each individual practitioner who administers or dispenses controlled substances to separately register at the business location. Examples of business locations that may be eligible for a registration pursuant to this rule include, but are not limited to, ambulatory surgical centers as defined in Iowa Code section 147.163, dialysis centers, federally qualified health centers, and standalone clinics associated with a hospital system.
