Rule 489-3.6 - Children eligible for review

(1) To be eligible for review, the child shall meet the requirements set forth in Iowa Code sections 234.1(2), 234.35 and 237.15.

(2) If the child is not receiving foster care when the six-month review is scheduled, the review may be held if the child has received foster care for a minimum of two months during that six-month period.

(3) If parental rights are terminated, the child's case will continue to be reviewed every six months until the child is placed in an adoptive home and the adoption is finalized.

This rule is intended to implement Iowa Code sections 17A.3 and 237.18.
