Rule 261-48.13 - Application submittal and review process

(1) The authority will develop a standardized application and make the application available to eligible housing businesses and to communities. To apply for assistance under the disaster recovery housing program, an interested person shall submit an application to the authority. Applications must be submitted online at www.iowagrants.gov. Instructions for application submission may be obtained at www.iowagrants.gov or by contacting the Community Development Division, Economic Development Authority, 1963 Bell Avenue, Suite 200, Des Moines, Iowa 50315.

(2) The authority has final decision-making authority on requests for financial assistance for the disaster recovery housing program. Applications will be reviewed and scored by the staff of the authority. The director or the director's designee will make final funding decisions after considering the recommendations of staff. The director may approve, defer or deny an application.
