Section 465 IAC 2-9-17 - "Mechanical restraints" defined

Affected: IC 12-17.4

Sec. 17.

As used in this rule, "mechanical restraints" means any objects that restrict a child's mobility or ability to use his/her hands, arms, or legs. Medical and therapeutic equipment for the prevention and treatment of physical injury that are used and applied by order of a licensed physician are not mechanical restraints.
