Section 120.326 - Foster Care Programa) A child is eligible for MANG(C) when:1) The child has been removed from the home of a specified relative as a result of court action, is a child for whom DCFS is legally responsible, and has been placed in foster care (foster care home, or private non-profit, group home institution) which is licensed or approved by the Department of Children and Family Services; and2) The child was eligible for and receiving MANG(C) in or for the month in which court action was initiated leading to placement; or3) The child met the citizenship, age, residence, need, and lack of parental support or care criteria for MANG(C) at the time of initiation of court action and lived with a specified relative at any time within the six (6) months prior to the initiation of court action leading to placement; and4) The child continues to meet AFDC eligibility requirements of age, need, lack of parental support or care, and registration/participation requirements.b) An application for AFDC-F must be signed by an authorized representative of the Department of Children and Family Services.c) Assistance under the AFDC-F program is effective from the latter of the date: 1) that a completed application is received by the Department; or2) the child is actually placed in foster care.d) A foster parent who is a specified relative of an eligible foster child placed in the foster parent's care may receive assistance for the child under either the AFDC-R/AFDC-U or the AFDC-F program.Ill.
