The Program provideszero-interest loans or low-interest loans to applicants to finance or reimburse the purchase of ambulances up to a maximum of $200,000 per recipient per fiscal year [ 20 ILCS 3501/825-85 ]. Loan proceeds may be used to pay off a loan that was obtained no more than one year prior to the receipt of a loan under this Program if the loan being paid off was obtained to purchase the ambulance that is the subject of the application that was approved under this Program.
