Section 16.04.14.010 - DEFINITIONS
01.Crisis Assistance. Energy assistance provided to an eligible participant household to reduce or eliminate an energy-related, health-threatening situation to the household. (4-6-23)
02. Department. The Department of Health and Welfare or its designee. (4-6-23)
03.Federal Poverty Guidelines (FPG). The federal poverty guidelines issued annually by the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), http://aspe.hhs.gov/poverty/. (4-6-23)
04.Fraud. A deliberate attempt to conceal or misrepresent pertinent information that could affect eligibility or grant amounts. (4-6-23)
05.Head of Participant Household. The person designated by the household members to receive energy assistance benefit on behalf of the household and in whose favor the energy assistance warrant is written. (4-6-23)
06.Income. The gross amount of moneys received by the participant household from all sources. (4-6-23)
07. Participant. An individual who has applied for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program from the state of Idaho. (4-6-23)
08.Participant Household. A participant household is one (1) of the following: (4-6-23)
a. An individual who lives alone; or (4-6-23)
b. A group of individuals living together as one (1) economic unit where residential energy is purchased in common or they make undesignated payments for energy in the form of rent. (4-6-23)
09. Primary Fuel. Fuel type declared by the participant household to be the major source of their home heating. (4-6-23)
10.Undocumented Residents. Individuals entering the United States illegally who have not obtained legal resident status. (4-6-23)
11.Vendor. A utility company or provider of fuel utilized for home heating. (4-6-23)
