Applications for Medicaid payment of an individual with an intellectual disability or related condition, in an ICF/IID will be through the Department. All required information necessary for a medical entitlement determination must be submitted to the Department before a determination and approval for payment is made. The effective date of Medicaid payment will be no earlier than the physician's signed and dated certification for ICF/IID level of care.
