Section 15-10-9 - Uniform flag system(a) Motor fuel retailers shall indicate their fuel supply and service situation by the display of a flag at least eighteen inches square and easily visible from off the premises. The flags shall have the following colors and corresponding meanings: (1) Green flag means motor fuel is available to the general public;(2) Red flag means motor fuel is not available and the station is closed or open only for auto servicing; and(3) Yellow flag means motor fuel is available only to emergency vehicles or others exempt from the order and the station is open for auto servicing.(b) If a retailer is out of any grade of motor fuel but is otherwise still dispensing fuel to the general public, the retailer shall attempt to the best of the retailer's ability to indicate by means of signs which grades are not available.[Eff FEB 17 1987] (Auth: HRS §§ 125C-1, 125C-4) (Imp: HM § 125C-3)
