Section 17b-411-7 - Executive Board(a) There shall be an Executive Board of the Statewide Coalition of Presidents of Resident Councils. The Executive Board shall advocate for quality of care and services for Connecticut long-term care facility residents.(b) The Executive Board shall consist of a maximum of nine members, comprised of three members from each of the three Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program regions. The Executive Board members shall be appointed as provided in the Executive Board's bylaws.(c) The Executive Board shall have the authority to establish and amend bylaws.(d) The Executive Board shall make recommendations to the State Ombudsman regarding legislative issues, policy issues and quality of care concerns affecting individuals, or groups of individuals, residing in long-term care facilities.(e) The State Ombudsman may request that the Executive Board make recommendations or advise the State Ombudsman on issues brought to the attention of the Executive Board. The Executive Board's recommendations shall be taken into consideration by the State Ombudsman, but the Executive Board's recommendations shall not be binding. Any final decision shall be that of the State Ombudsman.(f) The State Ombudsman or the State Ombudsman's designee shall assist to facilitate meetings of the Executive Board, to be held at least quarterly, and provide administrative support to the Executive Board.Conn.
