All unit price labels and alternative display methods as allowed for in 202CMR5.03, priorto their display in retail establishments, must be approved by the Director of Standards in order to ensure accord with the stipulations laid out in 202 CMR 5.00. The Director of Standards will render a decision within four weeks of receipt of the label or alternative method of display. In reaching a decision, the Director of Standards shall take into consideration, but will be limited to, the prominence of the unit price segment of the label, the boldness of the figures which must be clearly and conspicuously printed and the overall design of the label.
