Section 170.947 - Provisional Accreditation(A) The Department may issue provisional accreditation to an applicant for either accreditation or renewal of accreditation when the applicant does not meet the requirements of 105 CMR 170.946 through 170.950, provided that the applicant has demonstrated to the Department's satisfaction a good faith intention to meet all such requirements and provided that the Department finds the applicant has provided adequate EMT training and evidences a potential for full accreditation within a reasonable period not to exceed one year.(B) In order to be provisionally accredited, the applicant training institution shall document in writing a plan for meeting all the requirements for full accreditation, and the Department must have approved the plan.(C) Provisional accreditation shall expire one year after the date on which it was issued, and may be renewed for one additional year, subject to Department review and approval. The Department shall in no case issue provisional accreditation more than two consecutive times to the same training institution.(D) During the period of its provisional accreditation, the training institution shall timely submit to the Department documentation and other information as may be required, in accordance with administrative requirements of the Department.Amended, Mass Register Issue 1257, eff. 3/28/2014.Amended by Mass Register Issue 1321, eff. 9/9/2016.Amended by Mass Register Issue 1486, eff. 1/6/2023.
