Section 3914 - Updates Water Quality Objectives, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Implementation Measures, and Edits LanguageAmendment revises water quality objectives for arsenic, cadmium, chromium (VI), copper (freshwater only), lead, nickel, silver, and zinc to be consistent with federal California Toxics Rule (CTR) regulations. These objectives will apply throughout the region. Definitions of "freshwater," "estuarine," and "marine" are revised to be consistent with the CTR. This amendment incorporates provisions of the State Water Resources Control Board Policy for Implementation of Toxic Standards for Inland Surface Waters, Enclosed Bays, and Estuaries of California pertaining to NPDES permitting. Obsolete provisions are removed, descriptions and references are updated and clarified, and minor corrections are made to the Basin Plan text.
