Section 20713 - Proposed Ballot Designations Submitted Pursuant to Elections Code Section 13107, Subdivision (a)(2)Proposed ballot designations submitted pursuant to Elections Code §13107, subdivision (a)(2), shall be subject to the following provisions:
(a) A proposed ballot designation submitted pursuant to Elections Code §13107, subdivision (a)(2), is limited "incumbent," as that term is defined in Elections Code §13107, subdivision (a)(2).(b) The term "incumbent" must be used as a noun. It shall not be used in conjunction with any other words, including any accompanying adjectives or modifiers, and must stand alone. A candidate qualified to use this designation pursuant to Elections Code §13107, subdivision (a)(2), shall be entitled to use the ballot designation "Incumbent."(c) The word "incumbent" is strictly limited for use in ballot designations submitted pursuant to Elections Code §13107, subdivision (a)(2), and may not be used as an adjective in any other ballot designation.Cal.
