Section 206.64 - Surrender of Regular Series License Plates Upon Reassignment of Vehicle(a) When the vehicle to which the regular series plates have been assigned is reassigned to a person other than the person who requested the plates, the trustees or regents shall remove the regular series plates from the vehicle on the effective date of the reassignment and shall surrender the regular series plates to the department no later than 60 days after the vehicle reassignment.Cal.
