Section 15 AAC 125.825 - State disbursement unit(a) Because, under AS 25.27.020(a)(6) and AS 25.27.103, the agency has the duty to disburse child support payments that it collects, the agency is the state disbursement unit for the collection and disbursement of payments under support orders, as required by state and federal law.(b) Upon written request of a party, the agency will promptly furnish to the party timely information on the current status of support payments under an order requiring payments to be made by or to the party. However, the provisions of this subsection do not apply when the agency is not enforcing the support order under circumstances in which immediate income withholding has been ordered and the agency is providing payment services only as required by federal law.(c) The agency will distribute all amounts payable within two business days after receipt from the employer or other source of periodic income, if sufficient information identifying the payee is provided.
