Section 770-X-8-.14 - Meter Installation
(1) Under normal conditions, meters should be located at or near the curb or property line. When such location is impractical, the meter may be located inside or outside buildings dependent upon local conditions. The utility shall require customers to provide a reasonably convenient and accessible place in which to install the meter. This location shall afford reasonable protection against mechanical damage.
(2) When a number of meters are grouped, each meter shall be tagged so as to indicate the particular customer or premise served.
(3) The utility shall install an accessible service control valve ahead of the meter.
