This proceeding arises out of Cause No. 2005-CR-7340, styled State of Texas v. Joe N. Matthews, pending in the 290th Judicial District Court, Bexar County, Texas, the Honorable Sharon Macrae presiding.

Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus Dismissed for Lack of Jurisdiction.

MEMORANDUM OPINION


Joe N. Matthews files an original petition for a writ of habeas corpus complaining of his pre-trial confinement in a criminal cause. This court does not have original habeas corpus jurisdiction in criminal law matters. Tex. Gov't Code Ann. § 22.221 (d) (Vernon 2004); Dodson v. State, 988 S.W.2d 833, 835 (Tex.App.-San Antonio 1999, no pet.). Accordingly, Matthews' petition for a writ of habeas corpus is dismissed for lack of jurisdiction.
