This proceeding arises out of Cause No. 2015-CI-13369, styled Coastal Alamo Investment, LLC v. Siempre Energy, LLC, Claude John Thompson, and Domit Kamel, LP, pending in the 37th Judicial District Court, Bexar County, Texas, the Honorable Laura Salinas presiding. --------
On July 18, 2016, relator Coastal Alamo Investment, LLC filed a petition for writ of mandamus complaining of the trial court's order transferring this case to Hidalgo County, Texas for the convenience of the parties and the witnesses. Relator also filed a motion for emergency stay, which this court granted.
A court's ruling or decision to grant or deny a transfer venue for the convenience of the parties and witnesses may not be reviewed by mandamus. TEX. CIV. PRAC. & REM. CODE ANN. § 15.002(c) (West 2002); Garza v. Garcia, 137 S.W.3d 36, 39 (Tex. 2004). Accordingly, we deny Relator's petition for writ of mandamus and lift the stay issued by this court on July 20, 2016.
