Section 671.065 - Certification based on recognition by national council or other jurisdictions; foreign architects; notice
(1) The State Board of Architect Examiners may grant a certificate of registration without examination to any individual who is not registered to engage in the practice of architecture in this state but is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards or has lawfully been issued a license or certificate to engage in the practice of architecture in another jurisdiction of the United States or another country that has qualifications and licensing examinations substantially similar to those required in this state.
(2)
(a) A foreign architect who does not have a certificate of registration under ORS 671.020 may offer to provide in this state services that constitute the practice of architecture, and may assume or use a title, form of address or other designation within this state that indicates or reasonably could be understood to indicate that the foreign architect is an architect or that the foreign architect engages in the practice of architecture, if the foreign architect provides a notice in writing to each person that responds to or accepts the offer that states that the foreign architect is not a registered architect.
(b) Notwithstanding the permission given in paragraph (a) of this subsection, a foreign architect may not engage in the practice of architecture in this state without a certificate of registration.
