Section 29:27 - Toll bridges and ferries; free passageA. Any person belonging to the organized militia of the state who is in uniform or presents an order for duty shall be allowed free passage for himself, his conveyance, and the military property of the state in his charge, over toll bridges and ferries while going to, engaged in, or returning from any parade, drill, or meeting which he is required to attend, or upon being called to, engaging in, or returning from any active state duty ordered by the governor.B. Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, any private vehicle operated by a disabled American veteran who provides proper identification shall be allowed free passage or free parking for himself, his conveyance, and his passengers: (1) On toll bridges of the state or its political subdivisions except for the Crescent City Connection.(2) On toll ferries of the state or its political subdivisions except for ferries operated by the Crescent City Connection.(3) In any parking facility owned or operated by the state or its political subdivisions.C.
