Section 304.2-240 - Appraisal of asset(1) If the commissioner deems it necessary to value any asset involved in such an examination, he or she may make written request of the person being examined to appoint one or more appraisers who by reason of education, experience or special training and disinterest, are competent to appraise the asset. Selection of any such appraiser shall be subject to the written approval of the commissioner. If no such appointment is made within twenty (20) days after the request therefor was delivered to such person, the commissioner may appoint the appraiser or appraisers.(2) Any such appraisal shall be expeditiously made, and a copy thereof furnished to the commissioner and to the person being examined.(3) The reasonable expense of the appraisal shall be borne by the person being examined.Effective:7/15/2010
