Section 24-60-101 - Compacts recognized and declared to exist

The congress of the United States, under and pursuant to the provisions of section 10 of article 1 of the constitution of the United States, having granted its consent by that certain act (Public Law No. 293, H. R. 7353), approved June 6, 1934, to any two or more states to enter into agreements or compacts for cooperative effort and mutual assistance in the prevention of crime and in the enforcement of their respective criminal laws and policies, and for the establishment of such agencies, joint or otherwise, as they may deem desirable for making effective any such agreements or compacts, the practical need and utility of such agreements or compacts, between or among the state of Colorado and any other states of the United States, and particularly between or among the state of Colorado and those states adjoining the state of Colorado, are recognized and declared to exist.
